Non-Lethal Technologies - Safety Considerations

All NLT products are safe to both the device operator and the driver of the
suspect vehicle if normal precautions for handling high voltage electrical equipment are observed.
The Road Sentry system is equipped with safety interlocks to prevent arming until the unit has
been properly emplaced. Testing at the Army Research Labs in Adelphi, Maryland have shown that
there is negligible electromagnetic field produced in the passenger compartment of the targeted
vehicle during operation.
Both the Road Sentry and Road Patriot systems are equipped with internal safety bleeders that make
the system completely safe within seconds of the trigger signal being removed. Also, proprietary
circuitry eliminates the presence of high voltage direct current at the output terminals
so that accidental contact with the unit is unlikely to cause serious injury.
